boyfriend jeansThere are lots of fresh new styles in jeans this season that will keep you interested, so reset your denim radar, because there is a great selection to hunt down.

From Culottes to high waists, flares, overalls & the relaxing “boyfriend” jean , this Spring denim has peaked our interest.

• Some of my favorite styles include Citizens of humanity relaxed boyfriend jean (right). This straightleg distressed look is laidback and very cool. Perfect to cuff up and wear with heels.. www.citizensofhumanity.com

• Skinny’s Those who like a fitted skinny jean, try J-Brand’s new stocking denim, made for a tight, slim fit and is ultra comfortable. www.Jbrandjeans.com

• Culottes…The new must have for spring, but you may be a bit apprehensive like myself so the best way to introduce these is to find a pair that hits mid-calf and is fitted through the waist and hip to keep it sleek and figure flattering. Now that crop tops are back in, worn with culottes this becomes a perfect pairing of the two…with heels of course!

• Rompers and overalls… Another return of a trend! Lots of different variations to both styles, lots of great lightweight denim fabrics, worn with heels to keep yourself looking feminine and hip… I’m loving this romper by Paige (below left).

Great article! I love overalls and always have but I’m 42 years old and don’t want to look ridiculous wearing them! How would I pull this off at my age? Thanks!

Hi Carolyn! Thanks for the great question.. I do understand your concerns, since overalls have a younger vibe right now..I would suggest finding a pair with a tapered leg that you can cuff and wear heels with to give it a more chic, hip look, and this will keep you age appropriate. Try putting a simple blouse underneath & great accessories and your set!
